The College of Nursing hosted an inspiring forum titled “Life after Life: The Power of Organ Donation,” to raise awareness about organ donation and transplantation in Oman. The event featured expert-led sessions on brain death, organ donation processes, ethical and legal considerations, and the dangers of organ trafficking, alongside a moving real-life transplant recipient story that highlighted the life-changing impact of donation. Interactive exhibition stations further reinforced key themes, including organ donation registration through the Shifa app, Islamic perspectives, and public awareness challenges. The forum emphasised the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and the vital role of future healthcare professionals in promoting ethical organ donation practices and increasing community awareness.
