Rescue Fleet

24 Aug, 2026 | Return|
“Rescue Fleet” is an interactive educational summer program organized by the Nursing Group at Sultan Qaboos University for children aged 7–12. The program is held in the laboratories and classrooms of the university’s College of Nursing.

Built around an engaging storyline inspired by maritime adventures, the program takes participants on an exploratory journey through seven educational stations, or “Health Islands,” based on active learning, hands-on experiences, and group challenges. These include:

  • The Healing Island: Understanding the functions of vital organs.
  • The Mist and Germs Island: Learning about infections and methods of prevention.
  • The Supplies and Fuel Island: Promoting healthy nutrition and the concept of a balanced plate.
  • The Impenetrable Fortress Island: Learning about safety and personal boundaries.
  • The Rescue and First Aid Island: Learning the basic principles of first aid.
  • The Fitness Island: Encouraging physical activity and combating sedentary behavior.
  • The White Pearl Island: Applying proper oral and dental health practices.

The program aims to simplify and reinforce public health concepts among children, raise their awareness of healthy behaviors, and foster positive habits and practical life skills in an enjoyable and interactive way.
