How to Apply for Offer Postgraduate Programs

Sultan Qaboos University opens postgraduate programs annually. Studies begin in September.

Steps to Apply:
1. Review the program requirements and fees on the Postgraduate Studies webpage.
2. Submit your application through the system: sis.squ.edu.om
3. Acknowledge the declaration.

4. Fill in the required details:

Choose the nationality (Omani or non-Omani).
Enter the ID number and expiry date (for Omani and resident cardholders).
Enter the passport number and expiry date (for non-Omanis outside Oman).
Select the program you are applying for.
Add your qualifications.
Upload the English Proficiency certificate.
Submit the required documents.
Provide your number of years of work experience and current workplace details.

5. Pay the nonrefundable 10 Omani Rials application fee electronically.

6. You will receive a confirmation of your application submission.
7. You can check your application status during application period via the link: https://umis.squ.edu.om/Defaultapplicant.aspx.

Admitted candidates who fulfills the scholarship requirements in postgraduate programs automatically compete for the University scholarships for Omani and non- Omani, and sponsored seats for Omanis. For more information, please visit Deanship’s website.

Important Notes

Incomplete Application that do not meet admission requirements will not be considered.
Receipt of an application by the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies does not guarantee the accepting the candidate in the program.
The University reserves the right not to offer a program, if there are insufficient number of applicants and /or admitted candidates
The University reserves the right to withdraw the admission if any applicant fails to meet any of the requirements within the specified period in the admission notification and if the applicants found violating any predetermined conditions regardless of the reasons, test results, and interviews.
Candidates admitted conditionally into the Master program by taking bridging courses must fulfill the Master program English requirement as specified in the program description before starting the bridging courses with conditions shown on the academic regulation for postgraduate studies 2018.
Admitted student in the program who fulfills the scholarship requirements is not automatically granted a scholarship.
Admitted candidates in postgraduate programs automatically compete for the University scholarships for Omanis and Non-Omanis, and sponsored scholarships for Omanis. For more information, please visit Deanship's website.
Students who receive funding from external sponsors must submit a letter of funding from the sponsor to the Section of Tuition Fees in order to finalize their procedures in the electronic system.
Applicants and Admitted candidates in the various programs will be subject to all regulation and decisions that will be issued before the beginning of the academic years.
