Sultan Qaboos University represented by the Deanship of Postgraduate Studies offers a range of postgraduate programs at the Diploma, Masters, and Doctoral levels through advanced coursework and research in various combinations.

Tasks of Deanship
  • Prepare and review academic laws and regulations for postgraduate Studies and oversee their implementation.
  • Set future plans for Postgraduate Studies.
  • Coordinate with colleges about plans, programs and management of Postgraduate Studies.
  • Review and evaluate postgraduate programs in cooperation with concerned bodies at the University.
  • Market postgraduate programs in coordination with the concerned bodies at the University.
  • Process admission and graduation of postgraduate students in coordination with colleges.
  • Inform applicants for postgraduate programs about their admission results.
  • Assign thesis examination committees in coordination with colleges in accordance with the governing laws and regulations.
  • Administer and follow-up the expenditure for scholarships, tuition fees and financial support for postgraduate students.
  • Prepare, organize and develop workshops to enhance the skills of postgraduate students.
  • Administer and follow-up external funds for postgraduate students at the University.
  • Save the records of postgraduate students.
