Program Overview


The student should complete the course work requirements specified in the degree plan (24 credits of postgraduate courses that include 5 required courses (15 credits) and 3 elective courses (9 credits) with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00. 


Admission Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 on a scale of 4.0.
  • Candidates from other disciplines may be asked to take additional bridging courses before starting the program.
  • Applicant must submit a release letter, or a study leave from employer for full time study or no objection letter for part-time study, addressed to the dean of postgraduate studies at SQU. 
  • Un-employed applicant needs to submit a statement from the Ministry of Labour documenting the unemployment status of the applicant

English Proficiency

  • Band 6 or higher in the academic International English Language Testing System (IELTS) or a score of 79 or higher in the International TOEFL-IBT, or
  • Passing the English Course LANC6000 for applicants with a score of 5.5 in the IELTS or a score of 69 in the TOEFL-IBT.

Selection Criteria

There will be an interview for all applicants (that can be physical (face to face) or online).
