Medical Internship Program Committee
Purpose
To manage and oversee the “Internship Program” in accordance with contemporary medical practice requirement.
Responsibilities
-
- To recommend to the College Board for approval the internship program policies and rules.
- To recommend to the College Board for approval a set of criteria for the enrollment of Omani and non-Omani applicants into the internship program.
- To receive, evaluate and decide on applications for the internship program.
- To receive feedback from tutors and interns on the program and solicit suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
- To counsel interns during the internship period and recommend remedial solutions to help interns to attain and retain normal progression.
- To decide on requests for postponing or withdrawing from the program.
- To suggest means for improving the quality of the program.
- To act on any other related matters that may be assigned to the Committee by the Dean.
- To periodically report to the College Board on the progress of the Committee work.
