Student-Staff Liaison Committee
(Based on the Qarar SQU/AC/2013-14/12)
Purpose
To act as a forum for students (undergraduates and postgraduates) and College that proactively discuses concern and provides feedback on all issues related to curricular and extracurricular students' activities.
Responsibilities
- To discuss any issue relating to the overall student learning experience including matters raised by students and matters on which the College wishes to seek student views.
- To take the Committee deliberations as an opportunity to improve students’ and College relations to improve the quality of students' welfare.
- To provide a formal, qualitative means of consulting students and gauging their opinion on academic matters and soliciting suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
- To encourage students to cast their views and concerns.
- To discuss ideas and means of overcoming challenges encountered by students with professional conduct.
- To provide feedback to students on issues delt by the Committee.
- To act on any other related matters that may be assigned to the Committee by the Dean.
- To periodically report to the College Board on the progress of the Committee work.
