The Centre for Preparatory Studies (CPS) at Sultan Qaboos University helps newly admitted students build the skills they need for university-level study, in line with national Omani academic standards and the SQU Graduate Attributes.

CPS courses cover English, mathematics, information technology, and study skills, giving students a strong foundation before they begin their degree programs. Since 2010/2011, this preparatory year has been a requirement at every university and college in Oman.
