The CPS at Sultan Qaboos University has been designed to prepare students who have been accepted to study at the university to enable students to achieve the required educational goals. These educational goals (education outputs) are in accordance with the Omani academic standards.

Preparatory studies in English, mathematics, information technology, and study skills aim to set the foundation for students’ successful academic endeavors.  Preparatory studies became a mandatory introduction for study in all of Oman’s Universities and Colleges in the academic year 2010/2011.
