Foundation Program course registration
- Students are automatically registered for Foundation Program courses by the Registration Office of the Centre of Preparatory Studies.
- Changes to the class schedule are not permitted except in exceptional circumstances approved by the Foundation Program Administration.
- Students are not eligible to register for their college specialization courses until they have successfully completed all Foundation Program requirements.
Registering university courses alongside the Foundation Program
Students may register for certain university courses while enrolled in the Foundation Program, in accordance with the University's academic regulations and subject to the following conditions:
- Students are responsible for registering university courses through the Deanship of Admissions and Registration's online registration system after the Foundation Program course registration has been completed.
- Students may not register for specialization courses in their respective colleges until they have successfully completed the Foundation Program requirements in English, Mathematics, Information Technology and Study and Life Skills.
- Students may register for University Requirement courses, such as Arabic Language, Islamic Civilization, and other elective courses, upon reaching Level 6 of the English Foundation Program, in accordance with the University's approved academic regulations.
- The time spent by a student in the Foundation Program is not counted as part of the normal duration of study.
- The period of study begins to be counted once the student has successfully completed all Foundation Program courses, with the exception of the Study and Life Skills course, which may be taken concurrently with major courses.
