This program prepares qualified teachers in Mathematics and Computer Science for both basic and secondary schools with the emphasis on the practical applications of personal computers. In addition to theoretical lectures, students receive hands-on training and attend workshops and seminars.
The program extends over eight semesters and consists of 75 credit hours of practical and applied specialized instruction, 39 hours of vocational and educational courses (College requirements) and 18 hours of general cultural courses (University requirements). Graduates in this discipline may expect a wide range of career opportunities in basic and secondary schools since the Ministry of Education faces an acute shortage of such technically-qualified teachers.
