The College uses its two research vessels, the 25 m Al-Jamiah and the smaller Hamour to carry out field work in marine science and fisheries. Students, faculty and technicians are able to directly access the coastal marine environment and carry out sampling programs for courses in fisheries, marine ecology, oceanography, etc. The larger Al-Jamiah vessel is equipped with oceanographic sampling and modern fishing equipment. The large working deck is sometimes used as a "at sea" classroom.
Hamour is used for research mostly but can accommodate up to 6 students and their supervisor for short sampling trip.
