Objectives:
The program aims at developing supervisory competencies and skills of supervisors, and senior teachers nominated for supervisory jobs. This will be achieved through helping participants to:
a) Strengthen their professional and supervisory knowledge base.
b) Get acquainted with international recent trends in the area of supervision and how to benefit from them in the developing the supervisory system of general education.
c) Acquire the skills needed to perform their jobs effectively and efficiently.
d) Develop positive attitudes towards educational supervision as a profession.
e) Master information technology and communication skills that help them perform their professional role commitments.
f) Show awareness of the bases of curriculum design, curriculum development, curriculum evaluation, and other related skills.
g) Acquire the skills needed to conduct Action Research.

General Information:
Program Title: Diploma in Learning Difficulties
Degree: Diploma in Learning Difficulties/Psychology
Department: Psychology Date of launch: 2006
Objectives:
The objectives of the programs is to acquaint students with concepts related to learning difficulties, develop skills in diagnosing learners with learning difficulties and diagnose and select the relevant academic and clinical programmes for them. These aims may be specified as follows:
a) Acquaint students with the concepts related to learning difficulties, slow learning, educational/developmental problems and difficulties.
b) Acquaint students with the knowledge and skills which enable them to recognize learners with educational and developmental problems and difficulties.
c) Diagnose the nature and scope of educational and developmental problems and difficulties encountered by such learners.
d) Set up specific remedial and clinical programmes for learners with learning and developmental problems and difficulties.
e) Train teachers in how to set up individual educational plans.
f) Train teachers in how to select and use the relevant instructional media for each group of learners with educational problems (learning difficulties or slow learning).
g) Train teachers in how to prepare counselling programmes for the families who have children with educational problems (learning difficulties or slow learning).
h) Train teachers in how to conduct field research and interpret the results of such research.

General Information:
Program Title: Diploma in Career Guidance

Objectives:
a) Acquaint students with the skills in applying career tests and measurements and their interpretations.
b) Train students in using individual and group counseling and guidance techniques, and in dealing with career problems.
c) Train students in how to plan, organize, implement, and evaluate school-based career development program.
d) Train students of the program to help school students to choose occupation based on their interests, abilities, occupations' requirements, conditions, and the need of the occupation in the market.
e) Develop students skills in carrying out research work in the fields of career guidance.

Admission Criteria:
Students admitted to the program are nominated by the Ministry of Education according to the following requirements:
a) Bachelor in Education in all specializations.
b) Bachelor in Arts (specializations of Sociology; Psychology; Social Work).
c) Bachelor in any field with a Professional Diploma in Education.
d) Two years of teaching experience.
e) Pass entrance tests and interviews.
f) Possessing computer skills.
