Sultan Qaboos University(SQU)Council today held its 4th meeting for the academic year 2023/2024. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Rahma Ibrahim Al Mahrouqi, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, Chairperson of the Council.

The council reviewed developments related to the work process in SQU and the executive position regarding different previous decisions and recommendations.

Moreover, the council approved several matters, including the offering of a Bachelor’s Degree in Artificial Intelligence (AI) at the College of Science, among other decisions.

Further, the council agreed to restructure the Bachelor’s Degree in Translation which is offered at the College of Arts and Social Sciences.

The meeting was also attended by HH Sayyid Dr. Fahd Al Julanda Al Said, Vice Chancellor of SQU and Deputy Chairman of the Council.
