23 Jan, 2025 | Return|

The 10th Sports Tournament for Students of Universities and Higher Education Institutions in the GCC concludes today at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Boshar under the patronage of His Excellency Sayyid Saud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Governor of Muscat, with the presence of His Highness Sayyid Dr. Fahd bin Al Julanda Al Said, Vice Chancellor of the University, members of the main organising committee of the tournament, and heads of delegations from participating universities and higher education institutions.

The tournament, which lasted from 18 to 24 January, included a range of sports, such as athletics, swimming, football, basketball (3x3), volleyball, badminton, and table tennis. Around 500 students from GCC universities and higher education institutions took part in the event. It served as an opportunity to enhance cooperation between educational and sports institutions on the one hand, and to strengthen fraternal ties between students in the Gulf countries while facilitating the exchange of experiences among them.
