SQU's Petroleum Engineering & Nursing Rise in QS World Rankings

Sultan Qaboos University has made significant progress in the QS World University Rankings by Subject for 2025, with the Petroleum Engineering programme reaching the 25th position globally. Additionally, the Nursing programme has secured the 32nd position, ranking among the world's top 50 programmes.

In another remarkable achievement added to SQU’s record of excellence, six programmes have entered the list of the world's top 300 academic subjects. These include Accounting and Finance, Education, Chemical Engineering, Agriculture, Environmental Sciences, and Electrical Engineering.

Several other disciplines have also improved their global rankings, now featuring among the world's top 600 programmes. These include English Language and Literature, Economics, Mechanical Engineering, Business and Management, Computer Science, Medicine, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology.

These accomplishments reaffirm SQU's commitment to academic excellence and leadership in higher education and research, strengthening its reputation as a distinguished global academic institution.
