This program equips students with the necessary skills in practical translation from and into English and Arabic and provides them with a broader intellectual perspective on the subject. It consists of two years of study: the first year leads to a Postgraduate Diploma; the second year to a Master’s Degree. 

Credits of course work in addition to research leading to a thesis. The student should complete the course work requirements specified in the degree plan with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00. For the thesis, the candidate is required to conduct the necessary literature review, undertake the research, analyse the results, write the report and communicate the results at an oral defence.

Doctoral candidates are required to produce a thesis containing original work of suitable merit to demonstrate their command of the relevant research methodology and their ability to undertake independent research. The thesis should make a significant contribution to the body of knowledge in the specific 29 studies of Information Studies area, as demonstrated by at least one paper being published or accepted for publication in an international, specialized, refereed journal.

The student is required to study 12 courses (36 credits hours) within two years and the thesis should be submitted in the last year.Doctoral candidates are required to produce a thesis containing original work of suitable merit to demonstrate their command of the relevant research methodology and their ability to undertake independent research.
