Supply Chain Financing Project Workshop held
Sultan Qaboos University held a workshop on the implementation of a supply chain financing project presented by a group of specialists from the Ministry of Finance with the presence of Dr. Nasser bin Musabah Al-Zaidi, Deputy Vice Chancellor for Administrative and Financial Affairs, directors of related departments, and some specialized employees. The Ministry of Finance had issued circular No. (5/2022) regarding the implementation of this project, to improve liquidity management and facilitate the payment from Omani private sector companies that are contracting with government units under tenders and contracts with values no less than 100,000 OMR. The project aims to ensure the sustainability of supply chains, facilitating the payments from of private sector, supporting and motivating the sector to participate in tenders and contracts with the public sectors. The project is expected to raise the efficiency rates for the private sector and enhance its financial position.
