SQU Organises an International Conference on AI

Under the patronage of H.E. Eng. Said bin Hamoud Al-Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, Sultan Qaboos University, represented by the UNESCO Chair on Artificial Intelligence at the Communication and Information Research Centre, is organising the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence: Applications, Innovation and Ethics. The event will be held from 3–5 February 2025 at the MAANI Muscat Hotel and Suites.

 

The conference will focus on the applications of artificial intelligence in education, medicine, industry, the digital economy, and energy, as well as the use of artificial intelligence to predict and monitor tsunamis and earthquakes. Additionally, it will explore the ethics of artificial intelligence.

A distinguished group of scientists and experts from various fields of artificial intelligence will attend the conference as keynote speakers and to conduct specialised training workshops. Over 15 sessions featuring presentations of peer-reviewed papers will take place during the conference.
