SQU and UAEU Hold Joint Meeting

A delegation from the University participated in the 33rd meeting of the joint committee between SQU and the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU). During the meeting, both parties discussed enhancing cooperation between the colleges of law at both universities through initiatives such as mock courts, legal clinics, and inviting experts and academics from each institution to deliver lectures, with the aim of exploring each other's perspectives. Other points of discussion included collaboration between the colleges of agriculture, marine sciences, and veterinary medicine, focusing on conducting training courses for students to facilitate the exchange of experiences.

 

250210_11Several jointly sponsored research projects were approved during the meeting, along with plans for an upcoming conference hosted by the two universities. Additionally, mechanisms for marketing the scientific journals of both institutions and exchanging expertise in the field of Arab university rankings were proposed.

The meeting also encouraged student competitions between the two universities in various fields and agreed that each institution would invite the other to participate in significant events and academic activities.

Her Highness Sayyida Dr. Muna bint Fahd Al Said, Assistant Vice Chancellor for International Cooperation, led the delegation from SQU. The delegation included Prof. Hussein Al-Kharousi, Assistant Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Community Services; Prof. Rashid bin Abdullah Al-Yahyai, Dean of the College of Agricultural and Marine Sciences; Dr. Ghazi bin Ali Al-Rawas, Dean of Research; Fatma bint Ali Al-Khuzairi, Deputy Director of International Cooperation, and Khalil bin Ibrahim Al-Hashami, International Cooperation Specialist.

Representing the UAEU were Prof. Ahmed bin Al Al-Raisi, Acting Vice-Chancellor; Dr. Suad bint Mohammed Al-Marzouqi, Associate Provost for Student Affairs; Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulmuhsen Al-Yafei, Acting Dean of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine; Ghaliyah Al-Ahbabi, Director of Government Communication; Maryam Al-Qamzi, International Communication Executive; Prof. Fatiha Gourari, Acting Dean of the College of Law, and Dr. Rami Beiram, Associate Provost for Research.
