Sultan Qaboos University has concluded its participation in the NAFSA 2025 Annual Conference, held in San Diego, California, the United States of America. This year’s conference was held under the theme “Purpose, Place, and Partnership”, bringing together the international education community to strengthen academic collaboration and exchange expertise. The event attracted over 8,000 participants from more than 100 countries worldwide.

During its participation, SQU held a series of meetings with representatives from universities across the globe, aiming to establish institutional partnerships and explore possible avenues of cooperation in various areas, including student and academic exchange, research collaboration, and the promotion of the Arabic Language Programme for non-native speakers. SQU’s presence at the conference also aimed to showcase its academic and research programmes, while exploring global institutional experiences across a range of scientific fields.

It is worth noting that NAFSA is the world’s largest conference and exhibition focused on international education, addressing strategies for global collaboration and the key challenges facing the higher education sector.
