SQU Delegation Concludes Participation in Kazan Forum 2026

SQU concluded its participation in the Russia-Islamic World International Economic Forum. The forum began on May 12 at the Kazan Expo International Centre in Kazan, Russia, with wide participation from various countries around the world.

 

The University was represented at the forum by Dr. Sulaiman bin Daud Al-Sab’ei, Dean of Postgraduate Studies, and Mahmoud bin Abdullah Al-Kindi, Director of the International Cooperation Office. The University’s participation comes within the framework of existing cooperation with academic and cultural institutions in the Russian Federation. This participation aims to enhance the university’s international presence and explore ways for academic and research collaboration with universities and educational institutions participating in the forum. The delegation also participated in workshops and lectures addressing contemporary challenges in the higher education sector.

 

In addition, the delegation held several meetings with representatives of participating academic institutions to explore opportunities for joint cooperation, exchange expertise, and strengthen partnerships to serve mutual interests. The delegation also participated in dialogue sessions with students to introduce them to the programmes offered by the University to international students.

 

It is worth noting that SQU maintains academic and research ties with several prestigious Russian universities through various collaborative programmes in student, academic, and cultural exchange. Furthermore, the University has joint research programmes that contribute to the achievement of the strategic goals in international partnerships.
