CEPs Political Science Students Visit the European Parliament

As part of CEPS Internationalization initiatives, 30 undergraduate and postgraduate CEPS Political Science students and faculty visited the European Parliament and the Europarliamentarium, the Museum of European Parliament on March 29, 2017. After touring the museum, the group met the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to Belgium, who joined in a tour of the European Parliament conducted by three guides.  The Political Science group learned through an exclusive session about the structure and process of decision-making in the European Parliament that included student discussions at the end. The group then viewed in the balcony of the European Parliament, the 751 members who have been elected from 28 countries sitting in their various parties. The students watched as the European Parliament Members raised, debated and discussed several issues and challenges.. Finally, the academic group took pictures with his Excellency the Ambassador and gave gifts to the guides at the end of their visit.
