Student Probation Supervisory Committee
(Based on VC Qarar 176/2016)
Purpose
To assist students to maintain a good academic performance as they progress through their programs of study.
Responsibilities
- To review students' academic records at the end of each academic semester to identify those with poor academic performance.
- To determine the reasons behind students’ poor academic performance and to recommend remedial solutions for these reasons to help students to attain and retain normal progression, when possible.
- To recommend a mechanism for follow up of students on probation.
- To suggest criteria/indicators for those expected to fall on probation.
- To identify areas of improvements and suggest means of achievement.
- To act on any other related matters that may be assigned to the Committee by the Dean.
- To periodically report to the College Board on the progress of the Committee work.
