SQU Participates in the Cairo International Book Fair
Sultan Qaboos University took part in the 56th Cairo International Book Fair, where the Sultanate of Oman was honoured as the Guest of Honour.
Through its participation, SQU aimed to showcase its academic and intellectual contributions, highlighting its scientific and cultural publications to visitors at the fair.
As part of the event, SQU organised a dialogue session titled "Sultan Qaboos University in the Eyes of Egyptian Academics." The session featured distinguished Egyptian academics who had previously served at the university, including Dr. Saeed Tawfiq, Professor of Philosophy; Dr. Reda Abu Alwan, Professor of Mathematics Teaching Methods; Dr. Mukhtar Atallah, Professor of Philosophy; and Dr. Mohammad Satour, Professor of Media.
The discussion explored the academic and cultural experiences of these scholars during their time at SQU, shedding light on the university’s role in fostering scientific collaboration between Oman and Egypt.
SQU’s participation in the Cairo International Book Fair underscores its commitment to strengthening cultural and academic ties between the Sultanate of Oman and the Arab Republic of Egypt. It also reflects the university’s ongoing efforts to enhance its regional and international standing in higher education.
