Chinese Language and Culture Event Highlights Oman-China Relations

The College of Arts and Social Sciences held a special event titled “Explore Chinese Language and Culture” to celebrate and promote a deeper understanding of Chinese heritage and its connections with Oman.

The event was inaugurated this morning under the auspices of Her Highness Sayyida Dr. Muna bint Fahd Al Said, Assistant Vice-Chancellor for International Cooperation. It was attended by His Excellency Lyu Jian, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Sultanate of Oman, along with a number of academics and individuals with a keen interest in Chinese culture.

250212_3His Excellency the Ambassador delivered a keynote speech, emphasising the significance of such events in strengthening Oman-China relations and creating opportunities for cultural exchange. Dr. Nabhan bin Harith Al-Harrasi, Dean of the College of Arts and Social Sciences, also extended a warm welcome to attendees. Adding a youthful dimension to the proceedings, Lubna bint Ibrahim Al-Sinawi, a student of the college, presented segments in both Arabic and Chinese.

250212_1A highlight of the event was an exhibition dedicated to the richness of Chinese language and culture. Visitors were invited to explore various aspects of Chinese heritage, traditions and latest technologies. It is a dynamic platform to foster cultural exchange and enhance mutual understanding between the two nations.
