PetroBarza Kicks Off in Its Second Edition
The second edition of the PetroBarza has officially opened at the Exhibition Hall. Organised biennially by the Society of Petroleum Engineers at the College of Engineering, the exhibition brings together eight international student projects. Participating students present innovative insights and showcase the latest advanced technologies in the field of oil and gas.
Alongside the exhibition, a series of technical workshops and scientific discussions with experts in the oil and gas sector are taking place, in addition to student competitions aimed at fostering innovation and creativity among participants.
The exhibition was inaugurated under the patronage of Eng. Saif bin Said Al-Hamhami, Chief Executive Officer of Abraj Energy. Students from Oman and several other countries – including India, Qatar, Bahrain, Iraq, the UAE, Russia, Argentina, and Austria – are taking part in the event. The exhibition aspires to promote global dialogue and strategic collaboration within the oil and gas sector by serving as a platform for nations and experts to exchange knowledge, explore the latest innovations, and work towards a more sustainable energy future.
Each booth in the exhibition provides general information about the oil and gas sector in the respective participating countries, including leading companies, modern technologies used in exploration, drilling, and production processes, as well as the future outlook of each country in the energy sector.
The exhibition attracts students, academics, and professionals in the oil and gas industry and will run until the 8th of April 2025.
