The joint committee between Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) and Public Authority for Mining (PAM) held its third meeting on Tuesday, 31 December 2019 at SQU. The meeting was led by HE Dr. Ali bin Saud Al-Bimani, Vice Chancellor of SQU, and HE Eng.

On Monday, 6 January 2020, Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) and Space Communications Technologies Company signed a cooperation program to build competencies and develop capabilities in space communication technologies engineering.

The opening ceremony of the 5th he International Conference on Numerical Analysis and Optimization (NAOV 2020) was held on Monday, 6 January 2020 under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Ali bin Saud Al Bimani, the Vice Chancellor of Sultan Qaboos University (SQU).
