Since its establishment, the Department of Archaeology has carried out numerous scientific and research projects focused on heritage and archaeology in the Sultanate of Oman. These projects have varied between archaeological surveys and excavation projects, conducted either independently or in collaboration with other archaeological missions from outside the Sultanate.
