Top International Journal Acknowledges Dr. Khaldoon Nusair As a Leading Scholar

In a recent publication in the world’s # 1 journal in hospitality management research (International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management), Dr. Khaldoon Nusair (Associate Professor of Marketing, College of Economics & Political Science) was acknowledged as a distinguished expert and a leading scholar in social media research. In his paper entitled “Customer experience management in hospitality: A literature synthesis, new understanding and research agenda”, Professor Jay Kandampully (lead author) at The Ohio State University proposed a holistic model to understand the customer experience management (CEM). Professor Kandampully’ s comprehensive overview was undertaken from an extensive review of literature and combined it with invited commentaries from a selection of leading hospitality scholars. The invited scholars are distinguished experts in their selected area, as demonstrated by their numerous widely cited articles, their impact in key hospitality journals, and their academic affiliations. Each scholar provided a short written commentary that summarizes his or her views on the meaning and influence of CEM in the field as well as predictions about future CEM developments that likely will be important for research, practice or society. In addition to Sultan Qaboos University, the pool of scholars was selected from the following universities: University of Delaware (USA); Australian National University (Australia); Michigan State University (USA); Pennsylvania State University (USA); DePaul University (USA), University of Queensland (Australia); and Griffith University (Australia).
