The 8th International Conference in Islamic Banking and Finance: Risk Management, Regulation, and Supervision

On December 20, 2017, the College of Economics and Political Science organized the 8th International Conference in Islamic Banking and Finance: Risk Management, Regulation, and Supervision in collaboration with The Islamic Research and Training Institute (A Member of Islamic Development Bank Group) at Crown Plaza Hotel, Madinat Al Irfan. The main objective of the conference is to address various practical and operational issues related to the risk management, regulation and supervision, which may include evaluating legal framework and current trends in financial innovation revolving around the key theme of the event. The event will help stakeholders including policy makers/regulators to get a better understanding on issues and challenges associated with financial stability and systemic risk in Islamic financial system sphere. The main theme of the conference is “The contribution of Islamic financial institution to the Financial Stability and Systemic Risk” with a particular emphasis on recent development in the regulations, supervision and risk management.
