CEPS signed a letter of understanding with Capital Market Authority

Sultan Qaboos University signed a letter of understanding with the Capital Market Authority on the exchange of scientific and practical experiences in the field of quality assurance, academic accreditation and scholar work at the College of Economics and Political Science. The letter was signed by HE Dr. Ali Bin Saud Al Baimani, President of Sultan Qaboos University and by HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Salim Al Salami the Chief Executive Officer of Capital Market Authority (CMA). 

The signing of the letter stems from the keenness to raise the level of the educational process and to identify all that is new to keep up with the global developments in this regard. The two parties seek to establish a bilateral relationship to develop academic and cultural exchange to advance the discovery of new knowledge and innovation, the advancement in teaching and learning, providing training opportunities and the work on joint conferences towards the development of higher education through the development of undergraduate and graduate programs. 

HE Dr. Ali Al-Baimani, President of Sultan Qaboos University, said that the agreement seeks to link the university with the governmental and private institutions to exchange experiences between the two parties. For his side, HE Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salami said: "We are delighted to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Sultan Qaboos University which aims at enhancing the level of cooperation in scientific and research fields related to the economic aspects and to contribute to the convergence of the labor market, as well as to identify the latest research efforts in this regard. In addition, the Memorandum aims at providing training opportunities for college students in order to qualify them to engage in the labor market by enhancing the knowledge and professional aspects of the Capital Market Authority and Insurance sector and emphasize their importance in the national economy".

Dr. Khamis bin Hamad Al Yahyaei, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, said that this agreement serves both the Capital Market Authority and the University represented by the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, pointing out the results of the agreement. The Sultanate will also be in financial counterpart to allow them to gain international experience".
