The College of Economics and Political Science represented by the Department of Information Systems organized "Capture the Flag" HUSN Competition in its fourth edition during the period 14-21 January 2021 . This year the competition was conducted online and was jointly organized by the College of Economics and Political Science and the UK Oman Digital Hub (an initiative of the British Embassy aimed at increasing the digital skills base in Oman) and was generously sponsored by the BAE Systems Corporation. "HUSN" competition aims to engage students in practical competitions that contribute to refining their skills and enabling them to explore other new avenues in this field. This competition contributes positively to the College's profile of engagements and partnerships.
The award ceremony was patronized by His Excellency Dr. Ali Al-Sheidhani - Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology for Communications and Information Technology and was held in Kempinski Hotel, on Saturday, January 21, 2021. The ceremony was very well organized and well attended by top officials from the British Embassy, BAE Systems, the US Embassy, and many officials in the field of information security and cyber-security in Oman, beside of course the students who qualified to the final stage.
