International Cooperation

 

The ADTCS office is the focal point for international engagements or visits for the CEPS. Much of this work is in cooperation with the SQU International Cooperation Office. Among the matters expected are the following:

  • International visits from universities/institutions/centers to the college for joint collaboration.
  • Joint events with the International Cooperation Office (workshops, symposiums, discussions etc.).
  • Facilitating joint agreements (Letter of Understanding) with international universities (the office’s role is to facilitate the agreement in-cooperation with the International Cooperation Office. However, activation of the agreements is subject to college and departments).

Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, Germany

Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI), KSA


The College of Economics and Political Science (CEPS) at SQU and Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI), Member of Islamic Development Bank Group in Saudi Arabia have signed the letter of agreement (LoA) in 2017. Main objectives of the agreement include: (1) Organize the 8th International Conference on Islamic Banking and Finance under the theme “Risk management, Regulations and Supervision” to be held in SQU during December 20 – 21, 2017, (2) IRTI will provide required funding for the conference. Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, Germany


The College of Economics and Political Science (CEPS) at SQU and Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences in Frankfurt, Germany have signed a letter of agreement in 2016. The main purpose of the LoA is to establish academic and educational cooperation between the two parties based upon the principles of mutual benefits. University of Plymouth, UK


The College of Economics and Political Science (CEPS) at SQU and University of Plymouth in United Kingdom have signed a letter of agreement in 2018. The main purpose of the LoA is to facilitate discussions between the two parties on specific educational projects/areas of collaboration of mutual benefit and interest. Main cooperation areas include: (1) Collaboration in teaching and research, (2) students, staff and faculty exchange, and (3) explore co-operation in professional certificate and continuing education. The college of Economics and Political Science (CEPS) at SQU and Edith Cowan University in Australia have signed a letter of understanding in 2019. Main objectives for this agreement include the following: (1) Articulation and other pathway opportunities, in areas including, but not limited to, Business and Engineering. (2) Student and staff mobility, including study tours, international internships, student exchange and study abroad. (3) Co-ordination of joint or collaborative research projects and development of joint PhD programs.
