Circulation Service:

Library users can read and view the resources inside the library, or they can borrow them.

• Circulation is available for:
  1- SQU faculty members.
  2- SQU staff. 
  3- SQU postgraduate students.
  4- SQU students.
  5- Researchers from outside SQU.

• Circulation Borrowing rules:

Renew Books: 

My Library Account allows SQU students, staff and faculty to login to the library account to gain access to library services.

You can access to the library account from the library website

1. Go to the link here.
2. Select "SQU USERS ACCESS".
3. Enter your SQU e-mail and password:
4. Click on "My Account".
5. With My Account you can do the following:

• Track borrowed items.
• Due dates.
• Library fines.
• Saved searches.
• Renew items:

1. You can do the following:
   • Renew selected items, or
   • Renew all
2. Click on RENEW ITEMS then RENEW.
3. After renew selected items the system will show you the new due date.

Wireless (Medical Library)

The medical library building has a wireless network, allowing users to use their own laptops to access the Internet, the library catalog and other electronic resources available in the university. There are two types of wireless networks:

• (Eduroam) Network: For faculty, students and employees by using the user name and password of the university without having to register the devices in the SQU Portal by entering the user name (username@squ.edu.om) and password directly. Two devices can be connected to each user at any time.
• (Lib Members) Network: It only serves the visitors who had library membership card. The electronic resources department provides this service and activates it.

Computers (Medical Library)

The medical library offers a number of computer for general use that enable users to access the internet and search the library catalog and electronic resources. The computers are located on the first floor: 5 computers in the male reading area and 5 computers in the female reading area.

Reference Service: 

It is a service of responding to users inquiries regarding information, data, or request to access electronic resources. Users can deliver their inquiries through personal visits to the library, or via calling the library on (+968) 24141142, or by send an email to illmedlib@squ.edu.om, or send a request form here.

Introductory Tours:

The library offers tours for students and visitors from outside the university to introduce them to the library, its services, halls, books collections the method of using the library catalog to look up for sources.
It is worth mentioning that the library welcomes visitors from various organizations and institutions from inside and outside the Sultanate; in coordination with the Public Relations and Information Department, the Deanship of Student Affairs, the Office of International Cooperation, or directly contacting the administration of Medical Library.
