The Omani Studies Center library building, with its unique design inspired by Omani architecture, consists of several halls: Oman books hall, thesis and dissertations hall, governmental publications hall, and manuscripts hall.
The books hall has two levels (floors). In the first level, there is the reception and the library staff offices. The chairs are arranged on long and glossy wooden tables in the center of the library. On the sides, wood shelves have been installed to facilitate the process of taking and returning books and references without causing inconvenience to the users.
The second level contains round tables and there are single reading cabins in order to offer noiseless place for users.
The library has seven computers for searching purposes, two photocopying machines and scanners to facilitate the work of researchers and users.
The library offers 4000 titles in different fields and more than 2500 Omani thesis, besides many publications of Oman's governmental and private institutions and some publications from the Gulf region.
The library follows the Congress classification system, which is used by different university libraries.
The library is open to all users, whether students, staff, or researchers from inside and outside the university.
