Salam and welcome to our Spring 2016 semester together! First, I want to first extend my profound gratitude to all of the CEPS faculty and staff for participating in the EQUIS workshop this fall – a truly momentous and productive event for our College.

Since our workshop with Dr. Weir, the Heads of the Departments and Assistant Deans have submitted their reports and the Accreditation Committee is now writing the final Eligibility Application, which will be sent to the EQUIS evaluators at the end of February. We have reached an important milestone together and our excellent teamwork on the Eligibility Application brings even closer to our shared goal of EQUIS Accreditation.

As additional help to keep us moving forward, the Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning will be holding a special day-long workshop on Feb. 25 for the entire CEPS faculty. It will focus on College attribute alignment with program outcomes and course learning objectives, rubrics and assessments. I encourage all faculty and appropriate staff to attend this essential event as it will further prepare us to conduct our self-study plans for EQUIS when we receive eligibility.

I am also pleased to announce that we have been received membership status with the prestigious Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB). Our membership with AACSB allows our College and its faculty to take full advantage of its academic exchange, conferences, member schools data and professional development services, and accreditation assistance programs. Faculty can also propose papers and sessions for AACSB conference through our membership status.

For more information, I encourage you to visit the AACSB website at: http://www.aacsb.edu/membership/newmembers.
Again, I want to thank everyone for their outstanding teamwork and support for our EQUIS and AACSB accreditation efforts. We can be proud of our work together, which will benefit our College and our students greatly now and in the future.

I look forward to seeing everyone on February 25 and all the best wishes for this semester.
