His Highness Sayyid Dr. Fahd bin Al Julanda Al Said, the Vice-Chancellor, received the heads of delegations at the Cultural Centre. Forum participants then visited the Main Library, where they were introduced to its key sections and facilities. They also toured the College of Science Garden and explored several other prominent locations on campus, gaining insight into the University’s rich academic and scientific environment and the wide range of services it offers.

At Al Fahm Hall in the Cultural Centre, participants attended a visual presentation on SQU in the presence of Professor Salim bin Hamoud Al-Harthi, Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Community Service, and Dr. Ghazi bin Ali Al Rawas, Dean of Research.

The QS Arab Forum focuses on presenting the results of the QS Arab University Rankings 2026, in addition to discussing best practices and the challenges facing higher education in the region through scientific sessions and specialised workshops.

The forum also addresses several key themes, including academic innovation, quality of education, international partnerships, scientific research, and academic reputation, while highlighting emerging trends such as hybrid learning and the role of technology in higher education.

The event offers participants a valuable opportunity to network and exchange experiences with peers from academic and industry institutions, explore ways to enhance academic and administrative performance, and build new partnerships that strengthen the global standing of Arab universities.

The University affirms that hosting this major event underscores its pioneering role in advancing higher education and consolidating Oman’s position as a regional hub for academic and research dialogue in line with Oman Vision 2040.
