In line with Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) strategic goals and in order to achieve its mission and vision, College of Economics and Political Science (CEPS) has identified scholarly excellence as one of its principal goals.  In this regard, CEPS has a clearly defined mission to engage in multi-disciplinary and innovative research.

At the Office of the Assistant Dean of Postgraduate Studies and Research (ADPSR), our mission is to facilitate CEPS’ faculty research activities and enhance their research capacities. The Office works to promote a conducive research culture; a culture that is geared towards strengthening collaborative, strategic research endeavors with national and international institutions to transform knowledge into value for Oman and the world. ADPSR Office assists faculty to publish their research in internationally recognized research outlets that contribute to academic knowledge, applied research, and innovation.

With regard to graduate programs, SQU’s overall strategic goal is “to produce quality graduates capable of providing solutions to societal needs and contributing to knowledge.” Towards this goal, CEPS has developed a broad range of programs that span different disciplines that meet international standards in a rich learning environment. Our programs are designed to provide meaningful, relevant, contemporary, and ethical education that enhances students’ employability and career prospects, and contributes to local and global development.
