About Nursing Directorate

The Nursing Directorate is the largest directorate within the hospital with 32 inpatients and ambulatory areas and we provide 24 hours nursing services to our patients, university students and hospital staff. 
Our nursing practices are guided by our 7 Core Standards of Care where a high emphasis is placed on continuous evaluation of our structures and processes. This is to ensure delivery of effective and efficient nursing care with best patients’ outcomes.
The directorate continuously seeks to promote and maintain a stimulating learning, teaching and research environment conducive to the clinical teaching and training of nurses, allied health personnel, support staff and students.
This is guided by the directorate as well as the hospital’s vision where every citizen and resident of Oman enjoys excellent health and health care provided by physicians and professionals educated, trained and developed by SQUH.
