About Us


The Department of Communication and Media provides a comprehensive media vision in accordance with the requirements of the university, as well as preparing and implementing the annual media plans for the activities and programs of the university and sharing them with the authorities concerned. Further, it is responsible about managing the elements of the university’s visual identity, managing media content on the university’s website and social media platforms, preparing and implementing media and marketing campaigns according to the annual plans and programs. As it is strengthening the relationship with writers, journalists and media institutions, and providing them with information to serve the university’s goals.

 

 

The Responsibilities of the Units

Media

The department is specialized in editing textual, audio and visual content of press releases, publications, news and other media materials. The department coordinates and communicates with various media institutions in order to enrich the media content related to the university. In addition, it is responsible about preparing television news reports, radio and video programs that are broadcasted by the university.

Digital Communication

The department specializes in managing media content on the university’s website and social media platforms, communicating and strengthening the relationship with active account users on social networks and websites, managing e-mail, supervising and following up on other university accounts, as well as supervising the university’s application in smart devices.

Strategic Communication

The department specializes in providing a comprehensive media vision according to the requirements of the university, managing and following up on the strategic identity, and preparing and implementing media, marketing, and promotional campaigns within the university in coordination with the various authorities. Moreover, coordinating with the institutions concerned to ensure the unification of government messages, highlighting the media's role in the field of crisis management, as well as managing internal communication activities. Further, it is responsible for supervising and organizing exhibitions, monitoring and following up all material published about the university in all media means and websites, and preparing appropriate responses.

Creative Content

The department is specialized in producing the department's media and artistic materials and supervising the visual identity of the university. The department also prepares, designs, and implements media content in accordance with the prepared media plans, which include the art direction for publications and press releases, photography and filming for various events, and production of film, video, and audio materials.

Translation

It is responsible for providing translation, subtitling, and interpreting services. It also aims to enrich the media content in both Arabic and English as well as contribute to upgrading the skills of university translation students and those working in the field of translation inside and outside the university community by conducting training programs and organizing specialized workshops.

Coordination, Follow-up and Archiving

The department specializes in managing and preparing correspondence in the university’s electronic correspondence and archiving system, preparing annual reports for the department, as well as following up and coordinating with the authorities concerned on issues related to press advertisements, and annual subscriptions to newspapers. Moreover, it is responsible for supervising the financial system, as well as obtaining the printing permissions and deposit numbers from the Ministry of Information.
