The department of Mathematics organizes conferences on  a regular basis covering a variety of themes. The following are recent ones:

The department of Mathematics holds a weekly seminar every Thursday  during the academic year.  These seminars usually consist of a formal presentation  which is followed by a question-and-answer session that lead to lively discussion.  Speakers include departmental faculty and PhD students, and experts from outside the department, mostly from overseas. Topics can be from any area of mathematics.   Seminars provide a forum for exchange of ideas and for interactions among members of the department. Postgraduate students are encouraged to attend these weekly  departmental seminars.
