The programme consists of three courses: LANC1070, LANC1071 & LANC2070
The three are considered to be three elements of a single course. They are essentially designed to build students’ ability to identify and understand key information within texts to be used in the production of short essays and short presentations. The texts deal with a broad range of business issues and introduce the students to a similarly broad range of business vocabulary and concepts. Accuracy in language use is stressed, with an emphasis on developing good habits in editing and proof-reading. The courses also require students to develop basic research skills in gathering relevant information for short presentations. The necessary presentation skills are also taught.
Each course features:
3 x 2-hour classes per week = 90 contact hours
