The industrial advisory board (IAB) meetings provide several advantages to the program, particularly in increasing academia – industry interaction. The members of the IAB are a diversified group of individuals with experience in various sectors of the industry; i.e., service companies, major oil producing companies, independent companies, and regulatory authorities. With respect to student learning, the advisory board is one of the constituents providing input to the educational objectives of the program and student outcomes. Department seeks opinions of IAB through annual board meetings for both PNGE and CHPE programs.

The aims of the Board are to provide an independent, expert review and critique of the academic activities of the Department in such a way that improves the quality of teaching, research and services. In addition to that, it will enhance the visibility of the Department in the engineering community.
