Overview of the Program (Ph.D. in Educational Administration):

The Ph.D. program in Educational Administration was introduced for the first time in the Department of Foundations and Educational Administration at the College of Education in the academic year 2017/2018. The program aims to prepare a specialized cadre in educational administration and enable researchers and interested individuals to find solutions to issues related to the field of educational administration in the Sultanate of Oman. The program also seeks to provide specialized training and research experiences that contribute to the preparation of educational experts aspiring to hold academic and research leadership positions in educational institutions in the Sultanate. Additionally, it aims to create a supportive environment for developing research and specialized training experiences capable of leading the educational development process.

The program aspires to be a highly distinguished program in the fields of educational administration, planning, and policies at the local, regional, and global levels.

Program Mission:

The program seeks to prepare a specialized cadre with high-quality capabilities in educational administration, planning, and policies while deepening their scientific knowledge, managerial skills, and the necessary research competencies in the educational field.

Program Objectives:

• Develop the educational research agenda in the fields of administration, planning, and educational policies in the Sultanate.
• Prepare an educational cadre specialized in the field of educational administration.
• Enable researchers and interested individuals to research appropriate solutions to administration, planning, and educational policy issues.
• Provide specialized training and research experiences that contribute to the preparation of educational personnel for academic, research, and leadership positions in educational institutions in the Sultanate of Oman.
