The Department of Art Education at the College of Education, Sultan Qaboos University, was established in 1991 to meet the growing demand for qualified art educators across all levels of education and to support the expanding educational sector in the Sultanate. For several years, the College of Education at Sultan Qaboos University stood unique among teacher training institutions in the Sultanate by offering this specialized discipline. The department's curriculum leverages modern artistic and scientific methodologies to cultivate students' personalities and reinforce Arab and Islamic values. Additionally, the department actively contributes to community service within both educational and artistic spheres. By preparing and training highly qualified personnel, it effectively enriches the cultural landscape both within and beyond the university through dynamic student and faculty exhibitions.
