4th Techno Camp

After a two-year absence due to Covid-19 pandemic, the Education Technology Group of the Department of Teaching and Learning Technology held the fourth edition of Tech Camp for children to complement the group's successes in previous versions of the camp. The camp was held for four days from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM in teaching and learning technology laboratories of the College. The camp targeted schoolchildren, with participants divided into two categories: one for students in grades 3-5 and two for students in grade 6-8 students. The camp was organized by 35 students from the Education Technology Group with the participation of 90 students. The aim of the camp was to develop students' technical knowledge and familiarize them with the new world of technology, as well as to educate them about the importance of modern technology and its role these days.
The activities varied between educational, recreational and training activities offered by the department students. The educational and training workshops included several workshops, including 3D printing, coding, EV, visual development software: Scratch and virtual simulation of computer components. Additionally, there were some entertainment activities, such as competitions, talents challenges and juggling.
Concluding the forum, participants were recognized with certificates of participation, handed over by Dr. Mohamed Ammar Eid, acting Head of the Teaching and Learning Technology Department, and in the presence of the creative members of the group and the Group Supervisor, Mr. Mohammed Al-Aghbari.
